The author tells you everything you need to know. There are so many events that can happen in life. You could be out of work or there are many personal or natural disasters. We are back in a cold war now and the information you need is all here in 319 pages. The book tells you what to store, how much you need or where to get it. It is a standard in the home food storage preparedness books. I like it because it has many recipes and I use some of them monthly. The section on cheese making is why I decided to write a cheese making handbook. See Mary's Homestead Handbooks. There are some interesting subjects in the book such as, food science, horticulture , cooking and family. Many people call it a homesteading book.
